GUIDELINE SCHEDULE FOR OFFENCES AND SUGGESTED CORRECTIVE ACTION TO BE TAKEN
THIS SCHEDULE OF OFFENCES IS BY NO MEANS EXHAUSTIVE

A. VERY SERIOUS
1. Theft, fraud, forgery, bribery and other seriously dishonest practices. 2. Assault 3. Gross Insubordination 4. Wilful damage to Company property or property of other employees. 5. Being in possession of or under the influence of drugs. 6. Being under the influence of liquor 7. Possession of a dangerous weapon without written permission or use of dangerous weapons in the workplace. 8. Offensive behaviour (Insulting, Aggressive, Repulsive etc.) 9. Gross Negligence 10. Unauthorized, un-communicated absence from work, for a period of more than one week. 11. Disclosing confidential company information. 12. Intimidation or inciting employees to violence of any form. 13. Breach of company copyright in any form and/or dealing in counterfeit material. 14. Any other serious deviation from company policy and standards.
B. SERIOUS
1. Refusal to carry out an authorised instruction in respect of normal work practice (not involving abnormal physical risk and also not in conflict with any other instruction given. 2. Unauthorized absence for longer than three (3) days without a reasonable excuse. 3. Failure to comply with fire, health and/or safety regulations. 4. Sleeping during working hours.
C. OTHER
1. Incompetence (failure to maintain set work standards)
2. Poor maintenance standards.
3. Wastage of material.
4. Unauthorized absence from workplace whilst on duty.
D. MINOR
1. Low productivity, unsatisfactory work performance.
2. Lack of punctuality (habitual late coming). |
